Bath and Body Products For A
More Beautiful You
I grew up without a
lot of bath accessories. I certainly never had any bath and body
products but the bare minimum. There was soap, shampoo, and tooth
past. That was it. Sometimes, we would have washcloths, but not
always. My parents did not believe in it. They taught us that vanity
was a sin. Don't get me wrong – we definitely took pride in our
appearance to a degree. We would always have to be well scrubbed and
dressed in neat clothes. Nevertheless, I never wore anything fancy
or beautiful.
When I finally went to college, my mind was opened to the world of body
and bath products. This may sound silly to you, but try to see it from
my perspective. I had never been able to use a single bath and body
product except for what my mom bought us. We had simple abrasive soap,
and simple abrasive shampoo. My hair was always in quite a state! Being
able to find bath and body products meant for my skin type, my hair
type, and my complexion was a dream come true. And then there was the
makeup!
Of all of the bath and body products that I got to try, I loved makeup
the best. It was simply unlike anything I had ever been able to use
before. When I first started, I must've looked quite trashy. I would put
makeup on all the time. I would slathered bath and body products on my
face like I was a 13 year old girl getting into her moms supplies! It
was quite embarrassing when I look back on it. Nevertheless, it
certainly got me a lot of attention. It was so nice to be out of my
parents house finally, able to see the world and experience things like
dates, parties, and adventures. I certainly loved the attention.
Nowadays, I have slowed down with the bath and body products. Part of
the reason why is that I have more important things to spend money on. I
am living with my husband now, and we have just bought a house. We will
have kids to raise soon, and so I have to save every penny. Another one
of the reasons, though, is that I simply don't have as much of a use for
bath and body products anymore. They are less of a novelty, you see.
There still are a few choice products that I like to use, but in general
I have settled down to only a few items that I need to make myself look
beautiful.
