A Nice Body Spray Makes Life Smell Lovely

Remember those annoying Axe commercials with the mannequins and people being silly? They bugged me greatly. I would never have even dreamt of purchasing something from their company. For my husband’s birthday a year ago, he got a gift basket from his parents and it had two containers of Axe body spray. The moment he sprayed it on his body, I was in love. He smelled so wonderful that I didn’t want to let him take a shower that evening. What surprised me is that unlike body sprays that I’ve personally used in my days, Axe seems to linger instead of disappearing.

Axe isn’t the only body spray in existence that smells heavenly. In fact, a few acquaintances of mine detest Axe. It definitely is a preference and very obvious that everyone has their own opinion and tastes. My mother doesn’t seem to understand why there is a need for body spray; she thinks that cologne and perfumes serve the same purpose. I suppose that some people may confuse body spray with perfume or cologne, but I’d think that spraying cologne all over your body would be more than overwhelming for others who may come in contact with you during the next few hours. Body spray is supposed to be more subtle and gentle. It shouldn’t hit you the moment you walk into a room. Plus, it is meant to be sprayed all over your body, which is why it is called body spray, of course.

I personally have always gotten my feminine scented body spray at Bath & Body Works. I really like the fruity scents as opposed to the floral. I tend to spray my body spray on me after taking a shower in the evening, and in the mornings of course. My husband says that he loves to go into the bathroom after I take a shower because it smells so “girly”. I suppose that’s a result from my body spray and soaps.

I made a mistake once of spraying my body spray directly onto my clothing and it somehow managed to leave a few stains on my white silk blouse. Since then I’ve been much more paranoid and like to leave the body spray dry on my skin before I put my clothing on. I’d rather be safe than ruining more of my clothing. If you’ve never used any form of body spray, I suggest that the next time you go shopping, you take some time to test a few different kinds and scents. See if you can find something that would be appealing on your spouse as well. Life can never smell too lovely.
